ROCHESTER - Due to dry conditions and no foreseeable significant rain, the Rochester Fire Department reinstated its outdoor fire burn ban on Monday.
The ban, which will remain in effect until further notice, prohibits all outdoor fires within the city, including campfires or any fires covered under burn permits.
In addition, no new burn permits will be issued.
The ban will remain in effect until the NH Division of Forest & Lands lowers the fire danger and the area receives significant rainfall.
