ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are now awaiting the results of two accident reconstruction reports on vehicular crashes that recently left one Rochester man dead and another seriously injured.

On Thursday around 5:30 a.m. Rochester Police responded to the area of 111 South Main St. for a report of a motor vehicle vs. motorcycle crash.

Upon arrival, officers located a 2010 Nissan Rogue and a 2022 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 that had collided. The motorcycle was pinned under the vehicle, according to police reports.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Nissan had been making a left-hand turn into a business when it crossed the opposite lane of travel and struck the Harley-Davidson.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Hunter Petry, 24, of Rochester. Petry sustained severe injuries from the collision and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. On Friday The Rochester Voice called Portsmouth Regional Hospital to check on his condition, but was told he had been transferred to an unnamed facility.

The driver of the Nissan was identified as Raymond Cooper, 69, of East Rochester. He was unhurt.

Meanwhile, the fatal accident that occurred on Rochester Hill Road on July 24 also continues to be investigated by the county's accident reconstruction team.

Killed in the crash was 25-year-old Adrian Sharman of Rochester, whose family has begun a Go Fund Me page to help pay for final expenses.
The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. in the area of 78 Rochester Hill Road where police say Tayshawn Sheppard, 19, of Somersworth, was driving a 2023 Acura Integra when he passed over the double-yellow lines as he was heading into Rochester, colliding with three vehicles.
Sheppard and the other two motorists involved in the crash escaped with minor or no injuries, including Pasquale Aiello, 56, and Michael Larose, 50, both of Rochester.

As in all fatal crashes, blood tests are administered but police have yet to receive any results, Rochester Police Capt. Jeremy Aucoin said last week.
