GONIC - Donat "Ace" Jacques, 84, died Monday, January 12, 2015, at his home after a period of failing health.

Ace was born in Stratton, Maine, on November 16, 1930, the son of Donat T. and Antoinette (Begin) Jacques and had been living in this area since 1942. Ace was a Navy veteran. He was a communicant of St. Leo's Church in Gonic, a member of the American Legion Post #7, the VFW,the ACA, the NRA and the Gun Owners of N.H.

Surviving members of the family include: his wife Solange Begin of Gonic, three stepsons, Jasmin Bergeron of Laval, Canada, Harold Bergeron of St. Catherine, Canada and David Bergeron of Welland, Canada and three stepgranddaughters. He also leaves one brother, Laurence Jacques of Rochester, one sister, Lise Cossette of Gonic, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
