ROCHESTER – The Rochester man police arrested on riot charges on Saturday said he was assaulted by police as officers escorted him to a waiting cruiser where he would be issued a summons for illegally setting off fireworks.
“As I was walking to a cruiser one officer grabbed my leg, and I went to the ground,” Doug Robbins, a former Rochester mayoral candidate and owner of Robbins Automotive on Summer Street, told The Rochester Voice on Tuesday....
