Your Voice: Selectmen should call meeting

To the Milton Board of Selectmen:

At the recent Special Meeting held by the BOS with the invitation of DES, there were many questions and concerns that residents attempted to voice, but were not allowed to speak to because the meeting was to talk about DES issues only.

I would like to request that the BOS hold another open forum Special Meeting to discuss the concerns and issued that the residents of Milton have.

All Department heads, boards and committees would be invited as well as the public.

I realize that due to the nature of this issue some boards and committees may choose not to attend, or be restricted from attending due the NH State Statues.

I also feel that it is an important tool for the BOS to hold a meeting such as this to get as much information that is currently available regarding the process that needs to be followed on how an application of this nature goes forward.

The public has concerns for what the rules are for an application to move forward and what requirement must be met. Since there is no application filed, what are the steps to be completed for this to come before the residents of Milton? It would certainly benefit the citizens of Milton as well and the board to have this open and honest conversation to quell all the rumors.
