MANCHESTER, N.H. - WMUR won top honors in five categories of the 2017 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards,the station announced today.

The categories and entries for which WMUR was recognized: Large Market Television Station: Breaking News Coverage - Manchester Officers Shot; Large Market Television Station: Continuing Coverage - Commitment 2016: No One Covers Elections Like We Do; Large Market Television Station: Excellence in Innovation - Facebook Live: Ask the Candidates; Large Market Television Station: Hard News - Matthew Dion: A Killer in his Own Words; and Large Market Television Station: Website - WMUR.com.

With these awards, WMUR.com has won a Regional Murrow Award for best website four out of the last five years. The "Large Market Television" category, in this highly competitive region, includes stations in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Having won these regional awards, WMUR is now eligible to win National Edward R. Morrow Awards, which will be announced this summer.
