Moose Mountains Regional Greenways will hold a tree pruning workshop and provide helpful hints on gathering greens on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Jon Batson, specialist landscaper and tree steward, will demonstrate proper tree pruning techniques and will assist people in gathering greens for their craft work. MMRG Education Coordinator Kari Lygren will instruct and lend her imagination to your creation of artistic kissing balls and sprays or help you start a wreath.

Attendees are asked to wear something orange for walking in the woods and bring loppers, hand pruners and gloves as well as ribbons or other decorations for your greens. MMRG will provide materials to construct the basic shapes of balls and sprays. Light refreshments will be available.

Participant space is limited and preregistration is required. Contact Kari Lygren at 603-978-7125 or email info@mmrg.info for directions and to preregister. A donation of $15 is suggested. Attendees are asked to leave pets at home.
