MILTON - Things were just "ducky" at Milton Elementary School on Monday.

Besides being the last school assembly which was held outside, students later in the morning got to duct tape MES Principal Doug Kilmister to a wall in the school cafeteria in celebration of the school's highly successful Box Tops for Education effort during the school year, a year in which they raised more than $2,700.

The top classrooms collectors for Box Tops for Education were Mrs. Doane's class, with 3,169 Box Tops, Mr. Lewis' with 2,748, and Mrs. Soucy with 2,369.
Funds raised with Box Tops support the school's playground renovation project.

Box Tops Coordinator Lori McLaughlin headed the promotion and logistics of the campaign, including tracking progress throughout the year.

The school will celebrate on Monday with a special event in the cafeteria.

During this school year, families helped raise over $2,700 with the box top program.
