ROCHESTER - Virginia Labrecque, 85, formerly of Pine Street, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Rochester Manor after a long illness. Born August 18, 1931, in Providence, R.I., she is the daughter of the late Clifford and Grace Lord.
Virginia was a lifelong resident of Rochester. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School and later went on to work at Clarostat and then Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading.
She is the widow of Roland "Babe" Labrecque and is survived by her daughter; Pamela Maffee and her husband Allyn of Bow, her step granddaughter, Kimberly McGrath and her husband Alan Chase, and stepgreat grandchildren; Harrison and Grace McGrath, Tristan and Owen Chase of Dunstable, Mass., her brother, Richard Lord of Dearborn Height, Mich., her sisters Pauline Hall of Taunton, Mass., Patricia Dotson of Bradenton, Fla.
She is predeceased by her brothers Clifford and Donald Lord, her sisters; Margery, Betty and Barbara, and her longtime companion, Richard Hale.
