Veterans Day services set in Rochester, Milton

The Rochester Veterans Council will host a ceremony at the Prisoners of War memorial at the Rochester Commons on Tuesday to commemorate Veterans Day.

The observance begins at 10 a.m.

Members of the council will place wreaths to honor all five branches of the U.S. military: Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard.

Later, at 7 p.m. a brief memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, located at 34 South Main St.

In Milton, a ceremony hosted by the Milton VFW in observance of Veterans Day will be held at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park downtown across from the dam.
