Utility pole snapped in Salmon Falls Road crash

ROCHESTER - A car crash on Salmon Falls Road took out a utility pole on Thursday and left extensive damage to the vehicle, but luckily no one was injured.

RochesterPolice responded around 7:20 a.m. to Salmon Falls Road in an area between Autumn Street and Flat Rock Bridge Road where they found a 2004 Chevrolet Venture traveling northbound on Salmon Falls Road had crossed the southbound lane and struck a support wire of a utility pole. The upper portion was broken off.

The driver of the vehicle, Natasha Drewniak, 25 of East Rochester, was unhurt.

A portion of the road was closed for much of the day.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
