MILTON - A Milton man had to be Medflighted on Wednesday after he was seriously injured in a two-car collision on Milton Road.

Brian Roberts, 25, was listed in satisfactory condition today, according to a Maine Medical Center spokesperson.

The crash occurred around 9:10 a.m. near the intersection of Old Wakefield Road near the Rochester line when State Police said a 1992 Dodge Shadow, driven by Roberts was headed southbound when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway onto the gravel shoulder where it lost control, then veered back across Route 125 into the northbound travel lane where it collided with a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by Jeffrey Lord, 46, also of Milton. Lord was traveling northbound.

The Dodge Shadow ended up skidding off the roadway and overturned, coming to a rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.

Milton Firefighters had to use hydraulic extrication tools to remove Roberts from his vehicle. He was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, then Medflighted to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
