MILTON - Three Maine men received citations for unlicensed mechanical work being done at the site of a Dunkin' Donuts and Subway construction site on Wednesday.

New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan issued citations for work being done at 585 White Mountain Highway after an inspector found workers onsite not properly licensed to perform work in New Hampshire, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

Two were cited for unlicensed plumbing work and one was cited for unlicensed electrical work.

Those cited included Jeffrey Nielsen of Portland, Maine, Matthew Caiazzo of Scarborough, Maine, and Nelson Boucher of Biddeford, Maine.

All three are scheduled to appear in court in Rochester at 8 a.m. on Oct. 7.

In the press release, Degnan warned citizens of the dangers and health risks of wrongly installed plumbing systems, fuel-gas systems, and electrical systems and further urged the public to make sure that contractors have proper qualifications and respective licenses for the requested work.
