ROCHESTER - Therese "Terry" Yvette (Lamy) Doucet, 86, of Rochester, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, after a period of failing health.
Born in Manchester on May 3, 1931, she was the youngest of eleven children of Ovila Francois and Marie Ledianne (Gariepy) Lamy. Therese resided in Rochester for 38 years.
She was employed in various positions as a nanny, store cashier, and as a rural carrier for the United States Post Office, Rochester.
Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime communicant of Holy Rosary Church, Rochester, where she often prayed at the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Therese will always be loved and remembered for her servant heart as well as her endless dedication to her family.
She was married sixty-three years to Maurice Doucet. He died June 15, 2015.
Family members include two daughters, Carol Ann Zeman of Sun City Center, Fla., and Debra Ann Caron of Manchester; two sons, Maurice Edward Doucet of Portland, Ore. and David Raymond Doucet of Brentwood; and eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Joseph, Elizabeth, Dana, Katherine, David James, Liam, and Gabrielle; a brother, Raymond Lamy of Manchester; and a sister, Claire Browning of Hooksett; several nieces and nephews.
