ROCHESTER - Theresa Pauline (Ouellett) Hilliard, "Meme" (as she liked to be called) was 87. She lived at 19 Cardinal Avenue in Rochester. Meme passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, after a period of failing health with her family by her side.

Theresa was born in Pembroke, Mass., on May 5, 1927 and lived in Rochester and Strafford area all of her life. Theresa worked many years at Maybury Shoe Company in Rochester and Grace Shoe Company in Dover. Theresa enjoyed her many vegetable and flower gardens. Most important to her was her family.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Alan Hilliard. Theresa is survived by two daughters, Luanne Cardinal and husband Rene Cardinal, Leanne Hourihane and husband Mark Hourihane; grandchildren, Paula Huppe and her husband Aaron Huppe, Jeff Knight and his wife Heidi Knight, Stacy Hourihane, Patrick Hourihane and his wife, Sara Hourihane; great grandchildren Jessica Almanzan and her husband Eric Almanzan, Megan Dean, Gavin Knight, Callie Huppe, Declan Hourihane, Caroline Hourihane, Tommy Hurst and his friend Angela Cox, Brandon Hurst and his wife, Stephanie Hurst; two great great grandchildren, Bennett Dean and Shelby Almanzan; a brother, Leander Jolly and his wife Candy Jolly and family; and special cousins, Lorretta Parker and her family, and Marie Boucher and her family.
