ROCHESTER - Theodore Willard went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2014. He spent one month at Riverside Rest Home where he celebrated his 90th birthday. He passed away peacefully at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Ted was a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Southern Maine earning his B.S. in Industrial Technology. He owned his own business for several years before working at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 22 years. Over the years Ted served as Supervisor of Radiation Control, Radiological Instructor, Branch Head of Radiological Instructors, Nuclear Engineering Technician and Division Head, OSHA Monitoring Division.

Ted served during WWII in the Army as a corporal in the invasion of Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland. He received several decorations and citations. He was a member of the International Society of Poets and had many of his poems published. For many years he wrote poems for family and friends.

Ted is survived by his wife, Linda, of 69 years, daughter Carol Dumont and her husband, Mike, of Hollis, N.H., his sons, Eric and his wife, Betty, of Rockford, Ill., and Steven and his wife, Terri, of Rochester, N.H., eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
