Skywatch reset for March 7 at Town Beach

The Milton Free Public Library is hosting an evening under the stars with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society on March 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Milton Town Beach.

The skywatch is part of the rescheduled Milton Winter Carnival. The public is urged to dress warmly for this free, non-smoking event.

The members of NHAS will set up several telescopes to view several points in the night sky.

Also on March 7, watch for the Milton Free Public Library Friends at Milton Carnival. The Friends of the Milton Free Public Library will be available at the Emma Ramsey Center to keep everyone warmed with hot cocoa. The Friends will start serving at 10 AM until 1 PM.

Middle School Fun Fan Fiction

The Milton high school students had their turn; now let's see what the middle schoolers can do.

Want to change an existing work of fiction? Add a character? Change the ending? Clarify a plot point? Write something in the style in the original author and enter it in the Middle School Fun Fan Fiction contest . Entries must be submitted to Betsy Baker at the library by April 3. Any Milton middle school student is welcome to participate. Winners will be announced the the Nute Middle School Nute Week celebration.
