ROCHESTER - For this shoplifter you might say "If the shoe fits, you can't acquit."

Police are closing in on a shoplifter who they say stole shoes from the Rochester Walmart, then put her old shoes back in the box on the shelf for the next shopper.

Police say she stole about $300 worth of items in all, after selecting a floral-patterned bag off a shelf and walking casually about the store concealing items in the bag while eating food.

After finishing in the store, she allegedly put the bag underneath the basket in her cart and walked out the door with the loot.

When confronted by a store employee, she is said to have fled to a silver Hyundai Sonata.

Rochester Police posted pictures of the woman on their Facebook site on Monday, and are expected to identify the woman today.
