ROCHESTER - A Rochester motorcyclist was injured on Wednesday when he collided with a car on Milton Road.

The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. when Anthony Colwell, 35, of Rochester, was traveling northbound on Milton Road on his motorcycle when a Nissan Altima, operated by Bryanna Frechette, 17 of Rochester, entered Milton Road from the Route 202 Bypass to head southbound.

Colwell attempted to avoid the collision by braking but was unable and struck Frechette's vehicle at the right rear corner.

Colwell was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries but was expected to be released after treatment. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The Rochester Police Department asked that the public be reminded to remain vigilant for the presence of motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians as more will be out on the roadways with the warmer weather.
