ROCHESTER – A city woman out on bail after being charged with felony armed robbery is back in jail today after police say she violated conditions of release by committing another theft and failing to keep the batteries charged in her GPS monitoring device.

Tasha Loaiza, 21, of 17 Norway Plains Road #43, Rochester, was originally charged with robbing a Rochester woman of money, a computer tablet and prescription drugs on June 15 with alleged accomplice Okiemute “Leo” Omatie, 19, of Fifth Street, Dover.

She was allowed personal recognizance bail with conditions but police charged her in July with shoplifting shoes at Bootleggers in Rochester.

On Friday Rochester District Court Judge Susan Ashley agreed with prosecutors that her bail be changed to $5,000 cash.

Omatie, meanwhile, is recovering from a gunshot wound allegedly inflicted by Kerry Joseph, aka Bones, 27, with a last known address of New York Street in Dover, after a running feud between the two erupted into gunfire on Lafayette Street last month.

Joseph is alleged to have shot Omatie on July 29 when he allegedly challenged Joseph to a fistfight. Joseph is then alleged to have drawn a handgun and shot Omatie after he became cornered between two Lafayette Street apartment buildings while trying to escape.

Joseph is currently at the Strafford County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.

The charges against Omatie in regard to the Rochester robbery were dropped, but he still faces charges in a Dover armed robbery also allegedly committed June 15.

He was out legally on personal recognizance bail when he was shot.
