Protecting elderly from scams is subject of forum

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Police Department in partnership with the Grace Community Church announced on Tuesday there will be a Senior Citizen Safety Seminar focusing on helping elderly residents of the City of Rochester protect themselves from Online Fraud and Phone scams later this month.

Local service providers for seniors have also been invited to attend in order to provide information about their organizations.

The event is to be held on Feb. 17 from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Grace Community Church at 57 Wakefield St. next to Profile Bank.

The seminar is free and light refreshments will be provided by Grace Community Church.
