Police probe theft of cash from eatery bathroom

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are on the lookout for two people they think may have stolen money a women left in the bathroom inside the Subway at Lilac Mall.

The incident unfolded on Nov. 4 when a female accidentally left her purse inside the bathroom. She returned a few minutes later only to find it in a different location but missing her cigarettes and several hundreds of dollars in cash.

Surveillance video shows a woman entering the bathroom just moments after the victim left. She then is seen leaving the bathroom, speaking briefly with the male she entered the eatery with and leaving quickly.

Police are hoping someone may be able to identify the two persons of interest.

If anyone thinks they may have information to help police, they are asked to call Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128 and reference Case # 14-5613-OF.
Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling the Rochester Crimeline at 603-335-6500 or text to CRIMES (274637) at type Text4Cash in the body of the text followed by your tip. Tips through Crimeline leading to an arrest may receive a cash reward.
If an investigations turns up suspects in the case, they may be charged with theft of lost or mislaid property.
