ROCHESTER - Rochester Police say they are making headway in a home invasion that occurred Monday at Saks Trailer Park.

"We have had several interviews which have helped develop leads and hope to come up with suspects soon," said Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau on Wednesday.

Once inside the mobile home on Manatee Driver Monday morning, the assailants assaulted the homeowner, demanding money, however, no money was turned over.

The suspects then left the mobile home and ran to what is described as either a purple or maroon jeep Cherokee type vehicle with temporary plates and headed south on Milton Road.

The suspects wore black clothing with masks covering their faces, according to police. Both suspects are believed to be white males.

The victim was transported by Frisbie Memorial Hospital by EMS personnel for his injuries which were said to be nonlife-threatening.

Police believe the victim was specifically targeted.

Tipsters are still urged to contact Detective Rousseau at 330-7143 or call Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards are given for information, which leads to arrests.
