Open House aims to build support for new station

MILTON - Milton Fire and Rescue will hold an Open House on Saturday prior to Town Meeting where a warrant article will be proposed asking voters for $2,795,000 to fund the engineering and construction of a new Fire and EMS facility in Milton.

The Open House at the stationhouse on White Mountain Highway runs from 9 a.m.-noon with the Town Meeting beginning at Nute High School at 1 p.m.

Chief Nick Marique has indicated he will be on hand to give a tour of the aging station and an overview of the station's problems.

The new plans for the proposed stationhouse will also be available for viewing, and any questions residents may have will be answered.
