One sent to hospital after flukish Rochester rollover

ROCHESTER - One motorist was sent to the hospital after the car they were a passenger in struck a parked car and rolled over on King Street on Tuesday.

The accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. in the area of 21 King St. when a 2010 Nissan Sentra headed north driven by Timothy Branden, 58, of Farmington abruptly swerved and struck a parked car, police said.

The crash caused the Nissan to roll over.

Branden was able to get out of the vehicle, but the passenger had to be extricated with the assistance of Fire Department and EMS personnel.

The passenger was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for precautionary reasons.

This collision is still under investigation by Rochester Police.

It was the second rollover crash in the city in three days.
