MILTON - Milton Town Administrator Heather Thibodeau suffered a fall when she slipped on ice while heading into Saturday's Town Meeting at Nute High, she confirmed today.
Thibodeau said town safety officials sanded the area where she slipped immediately after the fall and said she was just thankful none of the town's elderly residents who attended the meeting hadn't fallen in the same area.
Thibodeau, who was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, added she was heartened by the care and positive support she received from safety officials and residents after the accident.
"I am overwhelmed by the care I received in Town, and the positive support and am following doctors orders to be on the mend," she said.
Thibodeau has been Milton's Town Administrator since she was hired last June.
