MILTON - A Boy Scout from Milton Troop #155 recently replaced an aging flagpole outside the Milton American Legion on Steeple Street as part of his Eagle Project.
Adam Bock, 15, installed a new composite pole to replace a rusty old one and also installed a new halyard to lower and raise Old Glory.
Bock, whose parents are Erin and Missy Bock, also placed an LED solar light atop the flagpole to enhance its appearance during nighttime hours.
Adam Bock organized several fund-raisers to help pay for the materials to complete the job, including a recent pancake breakfast and burrito night at the Milton Moose.
