ROCHESTER - A Lebanon man convicted on armed robbery charges two years ago was arrested on a slew of charges on Thursday after police say he stole an IPhone from behind the counter at Pet Paradise in the Lilac Mall.

Marc Beaulieu, 28, of Upper Guinea Road (no number given), was arrested in front of the Lilac Mall Hannafords by Rochester Police shortly after the original report came in around 3 p.m., said Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau.

According to a Rochester police dispatch report supplied to The Lebanon Voice, Beaulieu initially gave a false name to an officer investigating the case on scene, but later his true identity was learned as well as the fact that he had a nationwide extradition for parole violations out of New Hampshire.

Beaulieu was charged with theft in connection with the IPhone, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor false report to law enforcement, a parole violation, felony possession of Oxycodone and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, a knife, another felony.

He was also charged with unsworn falsification for allegedly lying to a bail bondsman later at the police station.

Beaulieu was arraigned today in Rochester District Court where his bail was set at $500 cash.

He remains confined at Strafford County Jail with a probable cause hearing set for next month.

Beaulieu was convicted for armed robbery in Strafford County Superior Court in 2013.
