SOUTH LEBANON - The Lebanon man seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Route 202 on Monday remains in fair condition today at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The accident occurred around noon in the area of Bigelow Road about a half mile from the 4-way stop in Rochester, according to Maine State Police Trooper John McDonald.

Dennis Labrecque, of Lebanon, believed in his 40s, was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland where he underwent surgery around noon on Wednesday.

A nursing supervisor reported he remains in fair condition today.

Labrecque was headed toward Rochester when he failed to stop for holiday weekend traffic that had backed up in front of him, clipped the rear end of a vehicle and was thrown about 30 feet into the woods, McDonald said.

Labrecque was on his Harley Fat Boy when the crash occurred. He was not wearing a helmet, McDonald said.
