LEBANON - The Lebanon man seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Monday continues to make progress at a Portland hospital.

A nursing supervisor at Maine Medical Center today reported that Dennis Labrecque was in stable condition.

Two days ago his fiancée, Ann Hemenway, had reported on The Lebanon Voice Facebook page that he was "finally coherent" after several days in critical condition.

Labrecque was riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy westbound on Route 202 in the area of Bigelow Road around noon on Monday when he was unable to stop for holiday weekend traffic that had backed up in front of him, clipped the rear end of a vehicle and was thrown about 30 feet into the woods, Maine State Police Trooper James McDonald said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a fund has been set up by family members to help with hospital bills and expenses during what could be a very long recovery. To donate to the fund click here.
