ROCHESTER - Llewellyn (Luke) R. Prince, 83, a longtime resident of Salmon Falls Road, Rochester, N.H., died Monday, October 24, 2016, at his daughter and son in law's home in Acton, Maine, after battling Chronic Kidney disease. Born in Rochester, N.H., on October 21, 1933, son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Davis) Prince, he attended Somersworth Schools until the 8th grade.
At a very young age his hard working hands held many jobs from working in the fields, sawmill and shoe shops. In 1969 his last employer for 30 years was the City of Rochester Water and Sewer Department. At the age of 22, Luke was drafted and served in the Navy.

The many enjoyments he had in his life was fishing, country fairs, his cows, haying, tractors, working on his farm, and watching deer in his back yard. He and his late wife Rhea raised and showed many horses, ponies and donkeys over their years together. He was a member of Nute Ridge Bible Chapel of Milton, N.H.
He is survived by two children, a son Luke J. Prince of Rochester and a daughter BJ (BettyJean) Caron and husband Paul of Acton, Maine, three grandchildren Nicole Amero and husband Eric of Acton, Maine, Steven L. LaPointe and wife Amanda of Acton, Maine, Stephen Dullinger and wife Amanda of Maine, three great-grandchildren Michael, Violet , and Dustin of Acton, Maine, a brother/sister in law :James and Brenda Dillon of Ohio, Sister in law Sarah Prince of Pennsylvania, Sister in law, Carol Harriman of Middleton, N.H., and also a lifelong special friend Shirley Cox.
Luke is predeceased by his wife of 56 years Rhea (Harriman) Prince, his parents Charles and Dorothy (Davis) Prince, and his brothers George Prince and Charles (Chippy) Prince.
The family would like to thank Cornerstone VNA Hospice nurses for their kindness and dedication of making him comfortable in his last days of life. A thank you to Dr. Charle and staff, Dr. Danowski and staff, Frisbie Oncology staff members for their care.
