ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man has been indicted in a domestic violence case in which he is alleged to have assaulted and threatened the victim with a weapon, then tried to obstruct reporting of the incident to police.

Jeffery B. McQueen, 51, of 33 Jim Grant Road, was charged with criminal threatening with a weapon, assault with a weapon, assault and obstruction of reporting a crime in the July 30 incident.

McQueen had a similar brush with the law in 2008.

The assault with a weapon and criminal threatening charges are felonies; the other two are misdemeanors.

The indictments were handed down earlier this month.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant a trial.
