Lebanon man arrested for DWI in Rochester

ROCHESTER - A Lebanon man was arrested for drunken driving Wednesday after crashing his car into a utility pole in Rochester.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. in the area of 244 Pickering Road when police say Rene Drapeau, 48, of 46 Bigelow Road, was heading north on Pickering Road in a 1992 Buick Lasabre when the vehicle left the road and cracked the utility pole. Pickering Road was closed from Tebbets Road to England Road during repair of the utility pole.

Drapeau, who was not injured, was charged with DWI with an arraignment later this month.

The Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation, to call the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
