BRENTWOOD, N.H. - Lawyers have asked the court to be ready for a three-hour trial in the case of a former Middleton, N.H., police officer charged with drunken driving in Milton in April.

Sean Dolliver, a patrolman and 16-year veteran with the force, is no longer with the department after initially being put on paid administrative leave after his arrest.

The trial has not been scheduled but isn't expected to take place until late January.

Dolliver was involved in a rollover crash in the area of 323 Governors Road in Milton around 11 p.m. on April 28.

Police say Dolliver's vehicle took out a fence post and rolled over in a ditch.

Dolliver, who was alone in the car and uninjured in the crash, is facing his first DWI charge.

The trial was originally to have taken place this summer in Rochester District Court, but the venue was changed due to a possible conflict of interest concern with the presiding judge.

The three hour trial window was requested during a case status hearing last month in Brentwood District Court, where the trial will be heard.
