SOUTH LEBANON - Who let the dogs out?

This Friday you'll find out who and just what they're made of to boot as Rick Towle hosts a Grand Opening of his hot dog eatery on the site of the former Salmon Falls Café just across the bridge from East Rochester.

Bite Me Hot Dog Eatery has been open for a couple of weeks, but Towle said the official launch is Friday.

Right now Bite Me is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., but Towle said once the summer season gets going, he'll extend the hours.

Ice Cream will return soon to the eatery for the first time since it was Minor's Restaurant several years ago, added Towle, who said he was now working on getting the freezers in and up to speed.

The menu is chock full of comfort food like homemade mac 'n cheese and hamburgs and hot dogs anyway you want them.

The hot dogs are all natural casing pork and beef frankfurters, with a pure beef hot dog also available.

"Price point was very important to me," Towle said. "We're trying to give the best product for a low price."
