MILTON - Milton residents Robert Graham and Larry Brown will square off in the November general election after they both won their party's respective primaries on Tuesday amid dismal voter turnout.

The overall vote including Milton and Middleton ballots were 99 for Graham, 21 for Brown followed by Emiro with seven.

With the Strafford District I rep seat vacant after the death of Robbie Parson on the line, only 127 votes were cast overall: 107 in Milton, a precious 20 in Middleton.

In Milton Republican Graham received 82 votes, including seven as a write-in on Democratic ballots.

Frank Emiro, the other Republican candidate, got just six votes.

Larry Brown, meanwhile, the lone Democrat running, got 1 vote from Republicans and 18 votes from Democrats.

In Middleton: Graham received 17 votes, followed by Emiro with one. Democrat Brown received two.

The winner in November will finish the term of Parsons, who died of cancer in June.
