Southern Maine Garden Club is hosting the Piscataqua District Meeting on April 30 at the Wormwood Conference Center, which is part of the Waban Projects located on Route 4 in Sanford.

There are five Maine Garden Clubs within the Piscataqua District, and all of the clubs are members of the Garden Club Federation of Maine (GCFM): Eliot GC, Harbourside GC, Old York GC, Seacoast GC and SMGC.

Relatives and friends of garden club members are cordially invited to join us for "Lunch and Learn" from noon-2 (Cost $15). Those planning to attend are asked to contact garden club officials as soon as possible because the cutoff date is near.

The theme of this year's district meeting is "The Language of Flowers." Our guest speaker will be Ms. Hillary Krapf, founder of the Maine Seaweed Festival. Her topic will be "Making your gardens sing with seaweed."

For more information about the district meeting or if you have interest in joining the garden club, please contact in Maine - Mary Stewart-Dore at 207-490-1833 or in New Hampshire - Donna Claveau at 603-332-4860.
