ROCHESTER - Join The Garcia Project at Rochester Opera House on Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m. as they bring you the solid vibes and energy of the Jerry Garcia Band. The Garcia Project is so authentic, ecoLocal Magazine insists "If you close your eyes, you'll swear you are at a Jerry Garcia Band show."

The Garcia Project performs full, classic Jerry Garcia Band shows from the 70's, 80's and 90's - re-creating the Jerry Garcia Band experience for old fans to relive or new fans to enjoy for the first time.

Faithfully channeling and projecting the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and the fans through many years of musical bliss, The Garcia Project is about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another.

The orchestra floor is leveled so there's plenty of room to groove to your Jerry Garcia Band favorite hits led by Mik Bondy on guitar and vocals (filling the "Jerry" role with modesty and an understanding that no one can replace Jerry - but that together we can rejoice in his music), Kat Walkerson who adds a female soul to the vocals, Dan Crea on Bass, Greg Marshall excels on the Hammond Organ, and Bobby Belanger is a solid and tight drummer that can bring the music down to whisper and back up with a roar. Please note, for floor-down events there is handicap/wheelchair access in the balcony area of the theater only.

The Garcia Project is known for their authenticity during the performance "In order for a tribute band to be successful, fans need to look at them as the authority on the artist they are emulating. The Garcia Project pulls it off effortlessly.
