ROCHESTER - Edward Thibedeau went home to his Lord and Savior, Friday, November 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving wife of 38 years, and family.
He was born September 29, 1931 in Franklin, Maine, to Charles and Claire (Bourcieu) Thibedeau.
He graduated from Franklin H.S. and entered the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After the Air Force he went to work as a technician for the U.S. Navy Astronautics Group in California, where he was on the ground floor of the launching of the first satellites. He was later transferred to U.S.N.A.G. in Corea, Maine, where he retired after 30 years of outstanding service. He drove for Poulin Auto for many years. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel Church on Eastern Ave, where he served as a deacon as well as ministering to the sick and shut-ins for many years.
He is survived by his wife Carol, son Michael and wife Candy, daughter Janice and husband William Kohal, stepson Daniel and Wife Karen Gifford, stepdaughters Robin Jordan and Michele Gaulin, as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Alice and husband Aldo Vandetti, Jean Readel, and Claire Recchia. He will be sadly missed.
