DOVER - The East Wakefield man indicted in the July robbery of the Milton Road Shell accepted a plea deal this week that could keep him behind bars for at least two years.

Jesse Hermonat, 19, of 319 Beverly Hills Drive, had faced up to seven years in state prison, but could be out in as little as seven months with pretrial credit for being incarcerated in the Strafford County House of Correction since August and upon his acceptance into the Strafford County drug court program later this year.

Hermonat entered the store shortly before noon on July 31 and demanded money from the clerk. After the clerk complied, he left the store and fled the scene with no weapon shown during the incident.
