Dover man nabbed after heroin, cash found in car

DOVER, N.H. - A local man with an active arrest warrant was stopped while driving on Wednesday by Dover, N.H., Police and the Strafford County Drug Force, who say they found about 20 grams of heroin and almost $3,000 in cash inside his vehicle.

As a result, Jonathan Joseph, 31, 80 Third St., Dover, received new charges of possession of the controlled drug (heroin) and felon in possession of a firearm, both felonies.

The firearms charge came as a result of a search warrant executed the same day at his residence where task force officers confiscated .a .357 magnum handgun and ammunition belonging to Joseph.

Joseph refused bail and was taken to Strafford County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

The Strafford County Drug Task Force is made up of law enforcement officers from police departments within Strafford County. Since its inception in July 2014, the team has conducted 81covert drug investigations resulting in 16 arrests and seizing more than $80,000 in cash.
