ROCHESTER - Jetpack Comics has donated $5,000 to the Rochester Opera House in support of its new Performance & Arts Center. With the donation, the Center's Art Gallery and Welcome Center will be named for Jetpack Comics.
The Rochester Opera House Performance & Arts Center, located on North Main Street in Rochester, is a new venue which combines versatile studio and performance spaces, an art gallery, and comprehensive arts and educational programs for adults, teens and young children in a convenient, comfortable and supportive environment.
"The Rochester Opera House is bringing something new and exciting to downtown Rochester and Jetpack Comics is proud to support it," said Ralph DiBernardo, owner of Jetpack Comics. "The new Performance & Arts Center not only adds to the downtown revitalization process but provides even more art, culture, and entertainment to the greater community. I challenge other businesses and individuals to do what they can to support this initiative."
"We thank Jetpack Comics for their generosity and support in this great effort. Sponsorships from businesses and corporations, and memberships remain crucial to the continued growth and success of the new Performance and Arts Center." said Anthony Ejarque, executive director and producer.
The Rochester Opera House Performance & Arts Center's mission is to make the arts accessible to all members of the community. The center's lobby includes a premier art gallery with rotating exhibits, curated by the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts. Future plans for the Center include theater, music and art classes; state-of-the-art recording studios and entertainment spaces.
