Coast's North Bus service to Milton will end Sept. 30

MILTON - Milton will lose its ACT North Bus service Sept. 30 due to low ridership and limited funding.

COAST has been operating this service on behalf of ACT since 2011 in Brookfield, Farmington, Middleton, Milton, New Durham, and Wakefield.

In light of this decision, COAST has been communicating with social service and transportation providers in the region in hopes of finding a more cost‐effective strategy for assisting the North Bus's current riders. The North Bus was launched in April 2011 in an attempt to help rural seniors and individuals with disabilities get to shopping and social services in Rochester. COAST is grateful to all the volunteers who drove the North Bus during its five years of service.
