It may be the changing of the guard, but the change isn't going smoothly.

Spring begins Friday at 6:45 p.m., but it will be ushered in by snow and cold, not blooming daffodils and forsythia.

Colder air that invaded the Northeast during the middle days of the week will stick around to help produce some wet snow before the week draws to a close

High temps on Friday are expected to not get above 30, while Saturday's forecast calls for mid- to upper 30s with light snow. On Sunday high temps fall back to the mid-20s.

Low real-feel temps Saturday and Sunday will dip below zero.

Doesn't sound like spring.
