ROCHESTER - An Academy Street man is in jail today and his mother could join him there, too, after both were arrested Thursday in connection with the son's arrest on heroin possession charges.

Matthew Wilson, 22, and his mom, Jody Wilson, 46, both of 3 Academy St., Apt. A, were taken into custody around 9:50 p.m. after police executed a search warrant at their residence, according to Rochester police.

Matthew Wilson was charged with felony possession of heroin and falsifying physical evidence as well as marijuana possession, a misdemeanor.

He is being held today at Strafford County Jail on $10,000 cash after being arraigned on Friday.

Jody Wilson was charged with obstructing government administration, a Class A misdemeanor that carries a potential year in county jail sentence. She was bailed on personal recognizance pending a June arraignment.

Her son faces up to 15 years in state prison if convicted.
