MILTON MILLS - Blanche E.(Williams) Valley, 80, of Milton Mills passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 17, 2014.

She was born October 11, 1933 in Union, N.H., the daughter of Jefferson and Cora (Dunn) Williams. Blanche lived in Milton Mills most of her life. She was employed at Greene Tannery for many years. She had also worked at Encore Shoe as well as the Rochester Public Library which she retired from in 2007.

She is predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 58 years, Norman E. Valley Sr. in 2008.

Blanche was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. There was nothing she would not do for her family and friends. Blanche was a compassionate and caring friend to many and was quick to offer assistance whenever it was needed. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her cat Bobo.

Members of her family include her son, Norman E. Valley, Jr. and his wife Mary of Rochester, her granddaughter Jennifer Jean and her husband T. J. of Rochester, and the absolute loves and joys of her life, her great-grandsons Tyler and Brady Jean, who fondly referred to her as “Nini.” She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.

Blanche was predeceased by her grandson Adam M. Valley, and several brothers and sisters.
